JOB ADVERTISEMENT FOR CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

We are an established public-listed Company with core businesses in Water Infrastructure, M & E Engineering Services and Building Construction-related activities. In view of planned expansion in our Contracts Division, the following project personnel are urgently required to be stationed at both our project site in Kuala Lipis, Pahang and headquarters in Puchong:

CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or professionally qualified Civil Engineer


• 6-8 years' relevant engineering experience handling large-scale civil construction projects involving project design, planning, organising and execution of infrastructural works and building construction in consultants' office or large developers.


• Analytical, detailed and results-oriented, able to work with minimum supervision, and able to fit into the project matrix team to supervise several on-going projects simultaneously.


• Highly motivated and able to adapt effectively to new work challenges and situational changes under tight operating conditions and delivery deadlines.


• Excellent inter-personal communication skills and able to work with clients, consultants, subcontractors and business associates effectively to meet the project objectives.

Job Functions:

• To oversee and supervise a team of project engineers and technical personnel who are specialized in the civil and structural engineering design and planning of large-scale building works and construction projects.


• To monitor and review the progress of civil and construction works as regulated by the SOPPs for such projects in line with the Risk Management, ISO quality assurance and financial guidelines/criteria and yardstick of the Company.


• To assess, evaluate and determine technical feasibility of new projects/construction works that are in the planning or tendering stage or pre-qualifying stage.


• To drive the implementation and coordination of engineering technical inputs/measurements to the various aspects of building construction


• To ensure the optimization of project resources, time and quality for its scheduled completion, commissioning and handover without LAD or cost-over-run.


• To anticipate and overcome project delays and technical problems and be proactive in problem solving and resolving all engineering-related complexities without undue delay
